Atreia is a hollow world, divided into two halves called Asmodae and Elysea. Asmodae and Elysea were once both connected by the Tower of Eternity, but now that the tower has been destroyed, the world has been shattered into two. Many centuries later, fragments of the destroyed tower began to float mysteriously in the air, and soon investigations discovered unstable portals or gates that opened into an unknown place of darkness and wonder where fragments of Aion drifted. Aion IDGS Wiki is a wiki of knowledge about NCSoft's upcoming MMORPG, "Aion: The Tower of Eternity". Being a wiki, this is an Aion resource that anyone can edit! Aion launced in North America on September 22, 2009 and in Europe on September 25.

NCSoft describes Aion as follows: "Aion: The Tower of Eternity is a visually stunning massively multiplayer online role-playing game featuring cutting-edge imagery, breath-taking environments, and a unique world of fantasy. You play a pivotal role in the fate of Atreia, where flying takes on a completely new role and the enemy is not only the other player faction, but a deadly ancient evil as well."

July 9, 2009 - Aion limited Collector's edition nearly sold out:NCsoft announces that due to incredible demand, the Aion limited collector's edition is nearly sold out. The collector's edition was announced in late May, and no further copies will be printed once the existing collector's editions are sold. More at aiononline.com

June 30, 2009 - Aion launch version announced

NCsoft announces that Aion is planned to be released in western countries at version 1.5, the third major game update, bringing the content as up to date as possible. More at aiononline.com

June 23, 2009 - Aion launches in September
